Exploring Morocco’s Atlas Mountains without a guide may mean missing out on Berber culture and scenic viewpoints. Yet, many group tours follow rigid itineraries that don’t allow for spontaneity during the day. This private tour delivers on all counts—with a local guide to arrange logistics and enable interaction with Berber villagers, and the flexibility to personalize your itinerary. Optional camel ride and Berber home visit are all included.
- Private Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys day trip from Marrakech
- Flexible itinerary with options to hike, drive, or mule-ride on route
- Includes a camel ride
- Pickup and drop-off at your Marrakesh accommodation for convenience

Great excursion
The trip was a great break from the commotion of the city in the middle of our time in Marrakech. I really appreciated seeing the Berber village we visited and hearing about its culture from our amazing guide, Youssef, who grew up there (and was kind enough to carry backpacks for people when we were going uphill and take a bunch of photos for people all along the way!).
And the views (desert and mountain) were amazing.

One day Atlas Valleys and Berber village tour
Simply put – this is a must do activity and we highly recommend. We were picked up by Hassan who drove us into the hills via camels. He stopped regularly for us to take photos of the beautiful scenery. When we arrived in the valleys we were handed over to the amazing Mohammed Larbi. He was very passionate and full of humour. He guided us to the waterfalls and to his village which were incredible and where we had a tagine and tea (this costs an extra 50-60dh and is well worth it). Finally we were driven home. The day was so much fun and passed too quickly for my liking. I’d highly recommend and I intend to return later this year to trek Mt Toukbal purely based on the experience I had here.

Tour of Atlas Mountains with camel ride
Very good tour with Ismail and driver Aziz. Interesting camel ride with lovely scenery. Lunch was delicious in the mountains. Ismail was very informative and we had tea in his house which was very nice. Certainly recommend

Great day!
We had a wonderful trip with our guide Issmail Talaoul and driver Mohammad! We went on camel rides, visited a women’s argan oil cooperative, and then walked between Berber villages before going to a waterfall. It was very informative to have a Berber tour guide who was from the region originally, as he could speak to the culture and differences between the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech. Our only critique is that we wish we could have interacted more with the Berber family when we had lunch. Thank you for a great experience! Our tour guide was exceptional!

Great trip with great price
Very enjoyable day visiting the high atlas mountains. Our guide, Mohammed Larbi was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and clearly cared about his community and passing on their way of life. Our driver Mohammed too was very chirpy and made the journey pass quickly. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience…A must do!!
A fantastic tour with so much to see and do! From start to finish you will not be disappointed!
It started off with a prompt pick up from hakim then stopping off at some viewpoints for photos etc then onto the women’s cooperative to see how argan oil is made, followed by a light snack then off for a camel ride…this is superb!!
Next, was our tour of the Atlas Mountains from Hamid…he was so professional, knowledgeable, polite and always making sure you were ok and happy! He even brought us to see his home where we met his mum and little sister…great experience!
Overall a great experience with a great guide, thank you

Fantastic
The trip was absolutely worth it. For what you pay for you get a lot out of it including lunch, camel ride, spending time with his lovely family and seeing some of the most amazing sites such as waterfalls. But do make sure you take snacks for throughout the day! Highly recommended though.

Good value, good experience
Great trip, very good value. Hamza Azyam our guide was very helpful and friendly. The minibus was nice and comfortable.
Wear good shoes for the walk to the waterfall as it can be quite uneven. Lunch was lovely too. Overall really enjoyed it and well worth it!
