DAY 1: Marrakech – Asni - Imlil:
Pick up from Marrakech in the early morning take the road to the Atlas Mountains, have a small break to take a breath of the nature at Tahnouaet then continue to the village of Asni and have a small visit and if it is Saturday you will enter to the traditional souk and visit the amazing handicraft Berber items. Next, head to Imlil to meet your professional and local guide, who will manage to make a walking adventure passing on the top of Imlil mountain, you will have lunch on the site in a beautiful and amazing panoramic view of nature. Then, the guide will take you to have a wonderful stay at a Guest House in Imlil with a half-board.
Day 2: Imlil – Marrakech:
In the early morning, have your delicious breakfast and feel comfortable at the guest house to gain more energy after. Meet the guide again to make you a visit the other hidden sight of Imlil, it is a walking and adventurous trip with great moments created on the mountain of Imlil, learn more about the Berber culture with our guide. When you finish walking, meet our driver to take you back to your accommodation with a fully great moment.

Great tour
We went on the tour with Karim who spoke multiple languages and was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour. We were well entertained and the stops along the way were well timed and interesting. The guides at the camp, the Kasbah as well as the atlas movie studio (Gladiator, GoT, Assasins Creed 2) were very good, too. The food was a bit more expensive than in Marrakech and the variety could be a bit wider however the portions were plentiful and this is really the only aspect that could be improved. Overall we had an amazing time. Also Karims timing (sunrise and sunset spots) were perfect – not too rushed nor any waiting around. If you’re in Marocco for longer you may want to consider the 3 day tour as well.

Amazing experience with an even more amazing guide!
We made the 2 day 1 night desert tour with our amazing driver/guide Salah. We say driver but it really felt like we were traveling with a very good friend. It wouldn’t be such an amazing experience if he wasn’t there. We had so much fun together, we sang, we danced, we shared food and stories about our lives.
Salah is a very good and experienced driver and we felt safe all the way through the long drives. And yes it’s a long way to the desert but there is plenty of beautiful things to see on the way and besides that Salah did everything to make our experience truly amazing.
The stops you make let you experience the real Morocco. We stopped at beautiful places like Ait-Benhaddou (which we loved) and Ouarzazate, Agdez-valley, Draa-valley and Zagora. We stayed one night at a Sahara camp with the Berbers, which were very kind and warm people. This camp had everything we needed plus a lovely dinner and breakfast. The Berbers played some traditional music after dinner and did everything to make us feel very welcome.
Along the way we met some beautiful local people through Salah, who helped us communicating with them. Which was great because we love to connect with locals from the country we visit. Also he helped us getting fair prices for things we bought along the way.
Overall, this was the best experience we had in Morocco, mainly because of Salah. We would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. It’s the best way to experience the real Morocco in a short amount of time.

Wonderful Excursion!
My husband and I greatly enjoyed this tour! Karim (not sure about spelling, may be Kareem) was very friendly, spoke terrific English (among several other languages), and was a skilled driver. As others have noted, there is quite a bit of driving; however, the drive is quite beautiful and there are frequent stops. While I could have done without the trip to the Atlas Studios to see the movie sets, others enjoyed it, and overall we enjoyed all of the various stops. Some of the highlights include meeting incredible couples from different countries, exploring Ait Benhaddou, sunset and sunrise on the dunes, and staying at the beautiful campsite. The campsite was lovely, clean and beautiful, and the dinner was delicious – overall, it surpassed our expectations.
As others have noted, there is about one or two small dunes, but it is a bit more rocky. We did not have enough time to do the trip to the Sahara – if you are looking for more of a long journey on camel through large sand dunes, this may not be the trip for you; however, if you have limited time in Morocco, I would very much recommend this tour.

how people can make all the difference
Really interesting and fun two day trip. Omar picked us up from our hotel in Marrakech and was superb, fun, chatty, and friendly. Mohamed took us out into the Sahara and shared his desert living with us. Rather grounding to meet these fine people and experience Morocco with them in this heat.

Great experience
What an amazing trip we had!
Omar was amazing with our young daughter and made sure she was okay at all times laughing and joking with her.
The journey was long but well worth the trip through the Atlas Mountains and through all the small villages along the way.
The camel ride and drums and fire by the fire made the trip for us as it was such a magical experience for us as a family.
Nothing bad to say about it at all.

My friend and I booked this tour based on the reviews. It was definitely a cool experience, we got to see sights that we didn’t know existed!
We had a fabulous driver, Omar who made everything so much more fun. He was enthusiastic and we enjoyed his company throughout the whole time. He was always on time and made sure we were always happy.
We took a camel to the desert camp which was very cool. The stars we got to see at night were beautiful.
To ever is thinking of booking this tour, I highly recommend you bring sunscreen, stay hydrated, and wear comfortable clothes.
100% would recommend.

Fantastic experience exploring the desert and surroundings
Went on the 2day desert trip with a friend and it was an amazing experience, highly recommend to anyone who is spending some time in Marrakesh.
Our driver Abdessamad brought us all the way south east through the mountains and then to the desert; he’s experienced and knows all the good and nice places to go to, plus he’s incredibly kind.
Once in the desert you can enjoy a camel ride to the camp, where you get great food and see sunset and sunrise.

This 2-days trip to Atlas Mountain and Sahara desert was really wonderful, good service and entertainment. Our good driver Omar was very funny, musical and kindhearted during the trip.

Great tour, WORTH IT!!
We took a 2 day trip from Marrakech, through the Atlas Mountains, to the desert for a camel ride and overnight camp then back to Marrakech. We had Omar as our tour guide. He was a special guide/ driver his knowledge and passion about his country and his compassion towards helping out poor communities really had an impact on us. The night in the nomad comp and food was fabulous.
Omar was fun, patient! And his skill of driving those twisting mountain roads was amazing. We learned so much and saw so much!!. Will wholeheartedly recommend this tour.
